We look forward to welcoming our Primary School Parents for the Festival of Learning on March 21, 2024. The day is dedicated to welcoming our parents into school and inviting them to visit classrooms and participate in other dynamic learning engagement opportunities. Our parent community will be able to see firsthand our inquiry-based learning in action!

Our IBDP resident artists in Gr. 12 hosted a beautiful exhibition and vernissage recently on the BMS Campus, displaying their talent and hard work in creating a dynamic art exhibition as part of their DP Fine Arts Studies. Visit the 6th floor to see the installation in person.

Secondary School Concert: Thank you!

We would like to thank our entire community for attending our 6th annual Secondary School Concert at City Kino Wedding. Such amazing talent on the stage and such a wonderful audience to share our music with! Through the ticket sales and other generous donations, we were able to rase 1,778 Euros for the homeless in Berlin. Thank you and well done to our students and hosts—you were amazing!

Our auditorium was buzzing with interested parents, staff, students, and visitors recently while BMS hosted the Annual AGIS Higher Ed Fair on campus. National and international universities were on site answering questions from our community and presenting their university study programs and campus life. BMS will soon host the AGIS higher education fair in our school auditorium, welcoming national and international universities to our campus. Featured universities will have information stands for parents, students, and other guests to ask questions on the admissions process, academic programs as well as hear directly about campus life. Extended Essay (EE) Symposium

Our Gr. 11 students will present their EE research to parents and students on March 19th from 4:30pm-6:00pm, giving presentations on their chosen topics, the research process as a whole, and how the EE is a key aspect of the IBDP journey.  Stay tuned for more details from our EE Coordinator, Dr. Mansuy.

Our entire school campus will be celebrating friendship and empathy week from March 4th-March 7th, participating in classroom discussions on the importance of empathy and kindness & sharing kind words and gestures with their peers and teachers. BMS Secondary School Concert: Nostalgia — A journey through music!

Our 6th annual Secondary School Concert is set to take place on March 1, 2024, at City Kino Wedding, featuring the amazing talents of our students from Grade 7-12. Students will perform original songs and covers of some of their favorite tunes. A portion of the proceeds will go to our longstanding partnership with the Bahnhofsmission.

BMS has recently become certified as a language friendly school, receiving this status based on our language program, the many diverse home languages in our school community, and our approach to language learning. We are proud to receive this certification!

A group of committed Secondary students recently joined Ms. Rush and Mr. Huet for a weekend of volunteering at Lass die Tiere Leben. Our students helped with clearing out and cleaning the living and feeding environment in the sanctuary located in Brandenburg. Well done to our students and thank you for your engagement and compassion!

Bronze Metal for BMS Chess Team!

We would like to congratulate the amazing success of our Chess Team after competing in the Berlin Rapid Chess team Championship. BMS achieved major success in the category of 5th & 6th Graders: among the 21 teams Onno, Milan, Valentine, David & Avir finished 3rd, placing behind the two top-ranked schools. A special congrats to Avir, the youngest player on the team from Grade 3 who won all 4 of his games. Hats off  to the team and Chess Coach Harald!

BMS students recently welcomed Mr. Rob Higgs for an interactive presentation on anti-bullying as part of our commitment to ensuring a safe, fair, respectful, and inclusive environment at BMS. Grade 9 Internships

Grade 9 Internships

The entire Grade 9 cohort is currently completing 2-week internships at institutions in Berlin, gaining practical work experience at political foundations, research labs, graphic design and architectural firms, and many more professional workplaces. We look forward to hearing about their experiences when they return to campus and would like to thank our community for their support in finding many interesting internship assignments!

Primary School: Home Languages Day

We will be celebrating the many dynamic cultures and languages that call BMS home this week, with our BMS Home Languages Day ready to start on Wednesday, January 24th. Planned activities in our Primary School lessons will be a part of the day's program and students are invited to bring their favorite book in their home language to school. The day is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to celebrate their own language and culture in our dynamic international community.

It was wonderful to see our students in action on campus, learning about how to navigate the online world better and discovering tools and tips on how to use the digital space as a force of positive change and good! We would like to thank our students and staff for their engagement and look forward to continuing our work together in bring our digital learning curriculum to life!

BMS Mindfulness Club

Our Secondary students can now participate in a 10-week mindfulness training led by our in-house expert, Mr. Kaufhold. The program seeks to empower young students by improving their concentration and focus as well as teaching effective techniques on how to successfully navigate times of stress and anxiety. We are very happy to offer this now to our students after a successful launch with our staff!
